Signs and symptoms in this group are often non-specific and can include irritability, hypotonia, lethargy, jitteriness, temperature instability, poor feeding, vomiting, apnoea and seizures. DO NOT delay correcting the hypoglycaemia if blood is difficult to obtain or the patient is obtunded. What’s all this fuss about ketones?
