Usually, in the ED, the simple and great goal is to get the parturient upstairs to OB-GYN, if you have one, as soon as possible. All went well. Not in the textbook, but it worked. Sometimes, you can't just get away with a smile, wave, and hearty “Good Luck!” Always, the concern is that not just one patient is being treated, but two.
