Scottish Mountain Rescue (SMR) is an umbrella organisation, with teams the final decider of how they operate. Of the medical conditions reported, hypothermia was the largest group – the vast majority mild. Team equipment, procedures, training schedules/frequency, and skill mix vary between teams greatly.
