Others are transferred to inpatient hospice centers. Home hospice is never an option for someone with no family, no friends, and, often, no home. The decision to begin hospice brought guilt, grief, and relief.  Ten years after her husband’s death, MV fell and hit her head. I do not know if we all die alone.
