Ciguatera fish poisoning, a foodborne illness caused by consuming reef fish contaminated with ciguatoxins, is characterized by a combination of gastrointestinal, neurological, and cardiovascular symptoms. 4 Treatment of ciguatera poisoning is supportive and symptomatic.
