About 544,000 99292 codes were billed to CMS in 2021, according to ACCP , reportedly stable at about 10% of the total bills. There was no difference in rate of discharge to hospice (6.8% for likelier hospice discharge after automatic palliative care consultation. This is not a hot research area.)
