Anaphylaxis Anaphylaxis may present as hypotension alone. Thus, it may easily be confused with a different form of shock and treated with vasopressors such as norepinephrine and vasopressin, which are not first line for anaphylaxis. Urticaria should prompt consideration of anaphylaxis.
