Outcomes from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in nursing and care homes: a cohort study

Background Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) primarily affects older adults. We aimed to describe the characteristics, treatments and outcome of individuals sustaining an OHCA in nursing and care home settings in England. Survival to hospital discharge or 30 days was observed in 97 (2.1%) patients.
